Niagara Falls Canada
You will get wet when you take the Maid of the Mist tour to the Falls.

A view of Horse-shoe Falls from the top of the Needle. This is the Canadian side. The American falls are about 10 ft taller but much smaller in width.
The Maid of the Mist tour takes you up close and personal to the falls. My glasses needed wiper blades.
The name "Maid of the Mist" comes from folklore that a young native woman was heart broken and jumped over the falls. The modern day natives claim this never happened and want the tour group to change their name. Unfortunately, 8 to 10 people do die on the falls every year. Eight have died this year already (as of August 2002).  Could be a record year.
The first to go over the falls in a barrel was a woman school teacher back in the early 1900's. She survived. Now if you go over the falls and survive you will spend time in jail and pay a hefty fine. The funeral is free if you do not.
